This contains extensive source material concerning the topic of Women in the Arts, History and Politics in the shape of documents, texts, books, catalogues, art magazines, posters, photos, and electronic media. So far, data concerning about 10,000 women has been covered and is available.
The archive is being re-structured currently and use is possible on a limited base only.

The FemArchive was founded in 1988 by the Bonn women's movement. Literature and other materials covering feminist issues were collected by individual women and have been made available here in a central place to the general female public. The FemArchive has been housed at the Women's Museum since 2002 and acts as library, archive, and documentation centre. As such it has available a wide range of books, magazines, brochures, video tapes, posters and scientific works. The emphasis is on the Bonn women's movement, women's history, lesbians, fascism / National Socialism, violence against women, women's health, studies of literature and language, novels, lyric poetry, and suspense stories.

This archive, which was founded in the 1970s, contains a large collection of books, catalogues, documents and other materials concerning contemporary arts and culture. The emphasis is on cultural politics, art of the 20th and 21st century, art since 1945, palpable / constructive art, architecture and design, several institutions in the Bonn area. Inventory: Biographic collection (around 60,000 names), 10,000 books and catalogues, 1,000 files, about 200,000 invitation cards, photographs, posters.
The archive is made accessible via an extensive keyword register and several files.
