The income from both the house and the property will be used for the following:

Research:
The goal is to support research in the field of contemporary history that's also open to an interdisciplinary approach to allow for a dialogue between different academic disciplines and the embrace of contemporary art.

Collections:
One of the foundations main purposes is the collection of estates, documents and artwork created by women.

Preservation:
Our third focus is the preservation of the art, culture and history of women, which was proven to be necessary by our experiences in the 20th century.
Further it was the express wish of the benefactress to foster young and upcoming scholars.

The Renate Wald Foundation sponsored the research for the "Mit Macht zur Wahl - 100 Jahre Frauenwahlrecht in Europa" project. The exhibition was put together as a cooperation of female historians and international artists and has been traveling through European museums since 2006.
